1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the NeuroComet application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform. NeuroComet is designed to provide a customizable, sensory-friendly environment for the neurodivergent community.

2. Medical & Health Disclaimer

NeuroComet is not a medical device or a replacement for professional healthcare.

Features such as "Spoon Tracking" (energy level monitoring), NeuroGames (coping and stimming mechanisms), and sensory profile adjustments are self-management tools. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition or neurodevelopmental disorder. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition.

3. AI Mock Call Simulator

Our Mock Call feature utilizes third-party artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to simulate real-world conversations for the purpose of alleviating phone anxiety. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

  • You are interacting with an AI, not a human being.
  • The AI's responses are generated programmatically and should not be relied upon for factual accuracy, especially in mock medical or legal scenarios.
  • Audio input is processed in real-time to facilitate the practice call and is governed by our Privacy Policy.

4. User Conduct & Safe Space Guarantee

NeuroComet is built to be a safe sanctuary free from the overwhelming noise of traditional social media. To maintain this environment, you agree to adhere strictly to our community guidelines. We employ rigorous Content Filtering and trigger-word blocking. You agree not to:

  • Intentionally bypass trigger-word filters or post content intended to cause sensory overload or distress.
  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Exploit the Direct Message (DM) system to send unsolicited or harmful content.

Violation of these rules will result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Caregiver & Linked Accounts

NeuroComet offers optional Parental and Caregiver Control modules. If an account is linked to a caregiver, the primary user and caregiver acknowledge that the caregiver may have the ability to block specific screens, manage privacy settings, or monitor certain app usages to assist the primary user. Both parties consent to this linked framework upon activation.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (managed via Supabase). You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. NeuroComet is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.

7. Changes to the Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of NeuroComet at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app after any such changes constitutes your consent to the updated Terms.
