How to Delete Your Account

At NeuroComet, we believe you should have full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through our mobile application.

Deleting Your Account from the App

To delete your NeuroComet account, follow these steps within the app:

  1. Open the NeuroComet app and ensure you are signed in.
  2. Navigate to your Profile by tapping your avatar.
  3. Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner.
  4. Go to Privacy & Security.
  5. Scroll down to the Account Care section.
  6. Tap Delete Account and confirm your choice.

What Happens Next?

Once you confirm the deletion in the app:

  • Grace Period: Your account will be immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. We provide a 14-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion simply by signing back into your account.
  • Permanent Deletion: After 14 days, your profile, posts, stories, interactions, and all other personal data will be permanently purged from our servers and cannot be recovered.
  • Third-Party Data: Authentication data managed via our provider (Supabase) will also be removed in accordance with their data retention policies.

Requesting Deletion via Email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your account, you can request manual deletion by contacting us at:

Please include the email address associated with your account. We may ask for additional verification to ensure the security of your data.

Data Portability

Before deleting your account, you may wish to export your local data using the Backup & Restore tools found in the app settings.
